The frigid temperatures of the Soviet Union created several, ubiquitous, garments, but none was more iconic than the vatnik. These quilted jackets were seen everywhere in Soviet society, and had a myriad of styles and cosmetic features.

Ours are a very basic, jacket length style, patterned off of a period tailors cart. The bodies on these are made from our rugged, gray cavalry twill, and lined in either cotton flannel or linen. In between is a thick layer of 100% cotton batting.

These are perfect for any type of period, Soviet civilian impression, and will keep you warm regardless of whether you’re wearing it for living history stuff, or working out in the yard on a cold winter day.
